World and word

This world is all about our words. What does your words do to your world?

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and nothing was made without the word. Words are strong, they are key to how life treats us. We dream, we hope for and expect so many positive things in our lives, inspite of our expectation the results we get do not match our expectation simply because the words we speak are different from the expectations of our hearts.
We should learn to say the things we expect and say it more often than we use to, in this way we can tune our thoughts and psychological process to act in tadem with our expectation.
The Nigerian society is in dire need of quality leadership and we complain about it daily and castigate our leaders for their failures and do not recognise their achievements. This is the reason why we get leaders we complain about.
The Nigerian soceity is not generally a corrupt one, inspite of what we see on our roads and on TV screens. Until we begin to speak positively about the Nigerian society people will generally not feel the need to contribute effectively.
The same goes for a parent who does not recognise the power of the words he or she speaks to the Child.
Words are special no wonder the bible says that the power of life and death are in the tongue.
Mind what you say because your words shape or create your world.

Words shapes your thoughts and give them forms such that it can be seen and felt. I guess our words are who we are or we are not.

Where are we? On the road to who we are?

History has shown, many times that people chase after what they already have, and in chasing they loose it to get it. This is given some life by the Nigerian saying "wetin you dey find for Sokoto dey inside your shokoto"... or the story of Hafiz and the Acres of Diamonds..I have observed from reading various comments and posting of Nigerians on various social medial and publication that they are are yet to accept or recognize the outstanding position of the country in the world. Nigeria is a unique entity and needs to be recognized by all especially Nigerians. The country is made up of some of the greatest kingdoms that ever existed in Africa as well as some historical artifacts. Such artifacts include the Ikom Monoliths, the Nok terracotta, the Dunfua 8000 years boat, the great Benin Bronze work, Ife Bronze work among many others. Our historical tales from North to South, East to West  are stories of great successes of imaginable feat.

FUEL SUBSIDY AND SANUSI'S TAKE

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi response to subsidy and name calling ………………… If you will patiently read this mail to the end you will understand my position. I am not complaining about insults I am used to that. I just believe that an insult is not an argument and when people resort to personal abuse they have run out of logic. But to then go beyond me and extend it to my dead grandfather and his "descendants" i.e my late father his siblings etc, I think goes beyond the pale. As a Nigerian-and as an economist-i can take a position on economic matters and this position is one I have had for years even before coming in to the central bank. I have also explained the position on several occasions and criticised government for not doing this before. In 2010 at a public hearing in the House of Reps on the 25pct saga I alerted the nation of what I considered a potential big scam around subsidies and urged for its removal. No one paid attention. The economics is very clear to me. That it is un...
